My work for the past two decades has focused on conflict resolution and crisis management in war torn regions, and I have served in various capacities with the United Nations, European Union ans most recently as Senior Advisor with the United States Department of State. I have worked in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Ethiopia and Eritrea, Iraq and Kosovo, while continuing to be engaged in policy issue in New York and Washington DC, on state-building efforts across the globe.
Upon my return to India since 2011, I have worked as Senior Advisor on the Indo-US Strategic Dialogue, advising on key agreements between the two governments and monitoring their overall implementation. In this capacity, I have engaged with several think tanks, the private sector and the Government of India, all of which can become increasingly important partners for our initiatives at the HCI over the course of next two years.
Adwait Vikram Singh, LL.M, Harvard Law School is Co-Founder of Impetus Analytics, it is an analytics company which helps analyze data for political campaigns and other organizations. Adwait has worked in the 2017 UP election campaign and currently pursuing engagements with many other upcoming campaigns in India. His work was covered by The Gaurdian, Times of India, Indian Express, Hindustan Times and other major newspapers.
Adwait has actively involved with the startup community and helped draft Uttar Pradesh startup policy. As a student he led a delegation of investors of Poland to foster bilateral economic relations between India and Eastern Europe. He has also been involved in student politics and worked on various developmental projects with the Central Government and various reputed NGOs in India.
Meenakshi Datta Ghosh, an Indian career civil servant, is currently, Chairman, Government of India, High Level Committee on Disciplinary Cases in Professional Institutes; Government Nominee, Institute of Company Secretaries, India, Disciplinary Committee; Chairman Jan Elaaj (a health start up); Board Member, Consumer Online Foundation and Partnership for Safe Medicines (PSM) India initiative; Charter Member Institute of Health Systems Hyderabad, Advisor, Bolpur Manav Sewa Sanstha, an NGO, in ShantiNiketan, West Bengal. She writes regularly on health and local government related policy and programme initiatives. Was President Harvard Club of India (HCI), 2010-2012, and is Member Executive Committee, HCI 2011 onwards.
Former Permanent Secretary Government of India, Director General National AIDS Control Organisation, Jury Member, Ford Foundation International Fellowships Programme, Country Director IUCN, India and Chairman Public Grievances Commission National Capital Territory of Delhi, Ms. Ghosh has focussed on improving the process and outcomes in the G to C [Government to Citizen] service delivery (policy, program and project development, implementation and evaluation).

Prerna makkar has a MPA/ International Development from Harvard Kennedy School, MBA from Faculty of Management Studies and BA Economics from St. Stephen’s College. Prerna has received the Fulbright and Joint Japan/World Bank Scholarships.
Over the last decade, Prerna has worked on social sector policy and implementation issues across various organizations and countries and had the privilege of incredible vantage points, ranging from a policy view from the very top at the UN Secretary- General’s Executive Office in New York to large-scale grassroots impact through the design and roll-out of deworming programs in India. Prior to that, she worked in mainstream management consulting, advising clients on strategy, operations and organization.
At HKS, Prerna conceptualised and coordinated the first India Trek and facilitated its continuity. She vasalso a marketingco-director for the Social Enterprise Conference, a Dean’s Ambassador for Outreach and a Planning Committee Member for the first Harvard University-Wide Day of Service.
Mr. Alok Sangwan is a practicing lawyer in Supreme Court of India. He started his career as a lawyer in the office of Mr. M.N. Krishnamani, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India in August, 2000. Presently he is Additional Advocate General for State of Haryana in Supreme Court. Mr. Sangwan is trained as Negotiator from Harvard Law School. Mr. Sangwan has also done diploma in Corporate Laws and Management from Indian Law Institute. Mr. Sangwan has travelled extensively in entire Europe, USA, Middle East, South Asia and participated in numerous International and National seminars, conferences and workshops. Presently, Mr. Sangwan is legal consultant to some of the reputed IT Companies based out of Silicon Valley, California. Mr. Sangwan, also advice on critical issues to several law firms having their international presence. He is also associated with few charity organizations, which are working for the upliftment of rural India in the field of Environment, Health, Education and empowerment of women. He has also remained Executive Member of Harvard Club of India (2013-2015) & (2015-2017).
Mr. Sangwan is an avid Golfer as well. Besides professional activities Mr. Sangwan has been helping Harvard Alumni in India during their visits and closely interact with them on socio-economic issues.

Ghanshyam Tiwari is an education entrepreneur, public policy advisor, socialist politician, and a ready mentor to children and youth. He grew up across Air force bases in several states and acquired professional education at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Kellogg School of Management, and Harvard Kennedy School. In last 17 years. he has worked in engineering roles at companies such as Intel Corp and consulting and advisory roles for McKinsey and Co., London School of Economics, and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He has helped develop non-profits such as Bharat Abhyudaya Foundation. Progressive Foundation, and Leadership Projects for Bihar.
Alongside., he has worked closely with Chief Ministers of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Today, Ghanshyam runs an education venture building large network of teachers for teaching high school students and serves as National Spokesperson of Samajwadi Party.
